Chelsea Clock Co., Boston, Mass., for The Ashcroft Mfg. Co., New York, engine room clock, 8 day, time only, spring-driven jeweled balance wheel movement in a brass case with hinged bezel, 8 inch silvered dial with Arabic numerals, the Ashcroft trademark, and subsidiary seconds, blued steel hands.
CONDITION:
Brass case has a dark, uneven patina with some small dark oxide spots and drops of wall paint. The silvered dial is in good condition with a little dark tarnishing. The seconds bit is missing, as is one of the dial retaining screws. The signed Chelsea movement ticks. Movement serial number 124995.
